The Ring Road in 8 days

Eight days, seven nights, the whole island, with only your group.

  • 8 days, 7 nights
  • 2–8 people, only your group

What is the trip like?

We go round the island anticlockwise: first the south coast, then the glaciers, the East Fjords, the north and finally the west. We drive 3–5 hours a day, with many stops.

The plan is yours: if you want to stay longer somewhere, we stay; if you want a hot pool or a horse ride, we fit it in. The hotels are small hotels and guesthouses with their own bathrooms.

Day by day

The weather and the roads decide the exact route. The map shows the usual one.

Small hotels and guesthouses with their own bathrooms. If you would like something special, tell us and we adjust the price.

  • Eight days, four of us with two children. The hotels were good and the daily driving never felt long, because Levente always knew a stop. At Mývatn the hot pool was the children’s favourite.

  • The first evening was cloudy, and Levente wrote in the afternoon that we should not go. The next day he took us above Þingvellir and the whole sky was green. Even my phone took good photos, because he showed me the settings.

  • Dóra guided the whole day in German, although half the group was Hungarian. We had an hour at Geysir and saw four eruptions. We would never have found the lunch place by the lake ourselves.

Questions and answers

Not finding your answer? Write to us, or see all questions.

Can we do the Ring Road in winter?

In winter the east and the north are often snowy, so we only run it as a 10-day trip with spare days. Ask for an offer.

Can we come with children?

Yes, we bring child seats. Tell us their ages and we plan shorter days.

Tell us when you are coming, and we will plan your days

Tell us when you will be in Iceland, how many you are and what interests you. We check the free days and send a suggestion with a route and a price. You only book once you like the offer.
